Molecular Plant Biology

This working group is dedicated to the promotion of molecular plant biology as an approach to elucidate the molecular and regulatory mechanisms underlying plant development, growth, and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. Members may have fundamental or applied research interests within the scope of this topic, bridging research outcomes from cell biology, genetics, epigenetics, systems biology, biotechnology, and synthetic biology approaches.

Molecular plant biology is expanding our knowledge on how plants grow, face pest or diseases or cope with environmental constraints. These remarkable advances have been supported by using a last generation of molecular, genomic, genetic and bioinformatic tools, successfully applied to both model and crop plants.
